Luigi Cinque, a multi-instrumentalist, composer and director, inventor and proponent of transgenic music with Hypertext O’rchestra, is able to shift from European classical music to traditional ethnic music, jazz, rock, new techno-acoustic expressions, theatre, dance, poetic lyrics, and Mediterranean singing. With its music, the Hypertext O’rchestra paves the way for a new contemporary writing, moving through genres and styles in ways never seen before. In a West that is gradually casting off its idea of centrality, steps need to be taken to avoid multiculturalism being reduced to a sterile post-modern phenomenology, and to process this intermingling to obtain a new and enriched creative language. The project and original music are by Luigi Cinque, who references the greats of blues and jazz, as well as Stravinsky, Varèse, Cage, Davis, Balanescu, AREA, Kraftwerk, African and Balkan music. Astonishing double bass player and multi-instrumentalist, born and raised in Tel Aviv, Adam Ben Ezra is considered a web star. His mission is to bring the double bass into the twenty-first century: from a background instrument to a soloist and virtuoso. Adam creates unique sound atmospheres in which he combines elements of jazz, rock and world music with a fascinating, versatile and visionary sound.
