For more than twenty years Radiodervish has represented the joyous meeting of the different musical souls of the Mediterranean, in the guise of a world music that combines a love for tradition, contemporary sensitivity, and the pleasure and urgency of telling stories. Their latest album “Il Sangre e il Sal”, immerses us in a world that resonates with the many languages of the Mediterranean, from Sabir, the forgotten language of its ports, to the voice of great poets and storytellers, such as Kostantin Kavafis, Pier Paolo Pasolini and Pedrag Matvejevic. Singers of a simple and profound humanity, they guide us as across the uncharted sea of a world marked by wars, migration and intolerance.
Radiodervish music translates into sounds and words the Southern European sensitivity that we so desperately need.
